The closing date for entries is Friday March 17, 2023, at 2pm.
The awards ceremony is at lunchtime on Thursday, May 18, at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth.
Entries and nominations for the awards are now open via the awards website at bournemouthbusinessawards.co.uk.
Headline sponsor is ActionCOACH while Dorset Biz News is again proud to be the Official Media Partner.
The innovations include a greater emphasis on networking.
A networking event will be held before the awards ceremony gets underway while two networking breakfasts will be organised between now and the finals.
In addition, the overall winner of the Business of the Year Award will be invited to present the award to the following year’s overall winner.
They’ll also receive category sponsorship for the 2024 event as part of their overall winner’s recognition.
And winners and sponsors will be invited to a post-awards lunch, enabling them to meet and network.

Nigel Reeve, pictured left, of award organisers MW Business Events, said: “These awards are very different to the larger county-wide awards.
“They are grassroots awards that focus on promoting the local businesses in each individual area.
“We believe it’s the local businesses that drive the local economy through innovation and creating jobs.
“The awards focus on that.
“After each of our awards we hold a debrief post-event looking for ways to develop the awards further.
“Networking is key to business.
“It’s about building relationships so we’ve added more networking opportunities to the awards plus additional profile rewards for the overall winner.
“I’d also like to thank Jacqui Rock and the Bournemouth Chamber for their help and advice.
“We work closely with them which has helped us develop and grow the awards.”
Businesses at the launch included Bournemouth University, Bournemouth University Business School, Saffery Champness, NFU Mutual Bournemouth, Laceys Solicitors, Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Marsham Court Hotel, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, Fiona Harwood Associates, ActionCOACH, Dutton Gregory Solicitors and Wessex Video.
