Poole Business Improvement District (BID) is inviting locals to ‘Discover Love in Poole’ through its latest competition.

The BID is offering one lucky couple a romantic weekend getaway from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 March with a range of prizes and experiences worth over £1,000.

To enter, those interested must nominate their partner and tell the story of how they met in no more than 250 words.

Jacqui RockJacqui Rock, CEO of Poole BID, said: “We’re excited to hear about the quirky, unusual or romantic stories of how couples met.

“Whether it was a chance encounter or a grand romantic gesture, we want to hear what makes your love story unique!”

The weekend will kick off with a two-night stay at Hotel Du Vin in Poole’s historic old town, with chocolates from Truly Scrumptious available on arrival.

On Saturday, couples can choose a piece of jewellery valued up to £70 at Confused Fox; shop for clothes at Brakeburn and Lavender Moon; pick out a book at Great Reads Bookstore; and enjoy lunch from Jamaican street food takeaway Zeen Cuisine.

The afternoon will feature a fun ceramic pottery class with Charlotte Miller Ceramics.

Then in the evening, The Pickled Berry will host a romantic dinner followed by cocktails at the St Tropez Club.

The getaway comes to a close on Sunday with brunch at Custom House Poole Bistro & Bar followed by a Coastal Cruises trip around the scenic harbour.

“This is an incredible opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind experience,” Jacqui added.

“We encourage couples to make the romantic gesture to their partner and enter and also to spread the word about the competition.

“Our winners could be from anywhere!”

Entries close at 5pm on 13 February 2025. The winner will be announced the following day.
