Business owners and HR teams are being invited to attend a free three-hour mental health and resilience workshop in Poole.

The complimentary event, on Tuesday March 10 from 9.30 to 12.30pm, has been organised by Positive Life Management.

It will be a taster into mental health and resilience.

Attendees will gain an understanding on

  • Understanding what mental health is.
  • The difference between pressure and stress.
  • Recognising signs and symptoms.
  • Reducing stigma and how to have difficult conversations.
  • Identifying individual strengths in resilience.
  • How to build resilience.
  • Useful strategies to take away and use in every day lives.

Rayna Warriner, Director, Training and Coaching Consultant at Positive Life Management, is leading the workshop.

She said: “I offered this workshop last year and it was a huge success, so I wanted to repeat it again.

“I travel all over the UK but I wanted to offer something to local businesses.

“By inviting HR or business owners along, they have an opportunity to learn and appreciate the benefits to offering training to their staff.

“As I am an independent business and extremely passionate about wellbeing and mental health, my mission is to make a difference to individuals and use my skills to help others.”

Rayna is a CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) wellbeing trainer and coach.

Over the past 12 years she has studied neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and become an accredited mental health trainer with Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA).

Rayna previously worked in teaching, which she gave up to have a family.

She offers training to private and public sectors across the UK and Ireland, in wellbeing, resilience, mental health, communication, mindfulness, inclusion and bias among others.

Rayna writes all her own courses, liaising with the organisation to ensure their needs are met.

She also offers 1:1 coaching with people, working with them on their individual needs.

The complimentary mental health and resilience workshop is at Maison Sax, 20 Britannia Road, Poole.
