Sarah Wrixon was met with a welcome surprise this month as she found herself among the UK’s top 25 insurance brokers for 2023.
Compiled by Insurance Business UK, the list recognises those ‘at the top of their game’ who are ‘able to think strategically, deliver for clients and be innovative’.
Mario Conde, partner at Bain & Company, added that price and risk shocks, emerging technologies like generative AI, and finding and retaining top talent were among the greatest challenges facing industry professionals this year.
But they clearly haven’t stopped Sarah, an owner/partner at three-generation family firm Summers & Company in Wimborne.
“We’re at the cutting edge of the insurance industry with traditional values”, she said.
“For us, it’s all about the relationship between our friendly family business and the client.
“We believe strongly that people buy from people, so we offer a personal service with the client at the heart of all we do.
“Anything that needs insurance, the team can provide a quotation for it!”
It’s an ethos backed by IBUK’s own research, which found that the vast majority of people prefer speaking with a broker one-on-one to finding coverage online.
