Businesses and organisations taking concrete steps to protect the planet and contribute to sustainability have been celebrated at the 2023 Big Sustainability Awards.
TV legend Fred Dinenage hosted the prestigious event which was organised by the Southern Sustainability Partnership and held at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl.
The mood for an evening dedicated to environmental stewardship was set from the start.
Guests arriving on the red carpet were greeted by a visually stunning living wall provided by Branded Biophilia.
MeadowSweet contributed British flower arrangements which adorned the tables, adding a simple yet elegant touch.
Entertainment for the night included a performance by Love Soul Choir as well as various interactive crowd games.
The event also featured a charity raffle to raise funds for Marwell Wildlife, aligning with the overall sustainable and philanthropic goals of the evening.
Lynda Daniels, one of the organisers, said: “These awards are more than just accolades or trophies on a shelf.
“They signify a deep and enduring commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.
“We’re incredibly thrilled to recognise and celebrate not just the achievements, but the ongoing efforts of local businesses that are taking concrete steps to protect our planet and contribute to sustainability in meaningful ways.”
