His biggest frustration is people who waffle, he’d like to share a car with Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones, looks for just the right balance of being confident and humble in a new employee and would extend the stamp duty holiday for another year if he was PM.

Jim Doerr, Joint Managing Director, Goadsby Residential, takes the 20 Questions’ hotseat.

Question: What is your favourite TV show?

Answer: Breaking Bad & Ozark.

Q: Who would you like to share a car with?

A: Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones).

Q: The best bit of my job is…?

A: Handing the keys over to new owners on completion.

Q: And the worst…?

A: Having to tell someone their sale has fallen through, especially if there is real motivation from them to move.

Q: Who was your childhood hero?

A: Bryan Robson.

Q: What’s your favourite smell?

A: Fresh coffee.

Q: Where’s your favourite place in Dorset?

A: Corfe Mullen Recreation Ground, great memories of both kids playing lots of football there.

Q: What advice would you give to anyone starting out on a career?

A: Be confident to try things, listen, put your name forward for anything and everything.

Q: What was your first record/CD?

A: It actually was a tape! Wham – Fantastic (1983).

Q: What gets you angry?

A: People who lie.

Q: Do you have a favourite piece of music?

A: Third Eye Blind – ‘Motorcycle Drive By’.

Q: What are the qualities you look for in a new employee?

A: Just the right balance of being confident and humble.

Q: What’s your favourite food or dish?

A: Sunday morning fry up.

Q: Steamed sponge pudding and custard or a plate of melon?

A: Sponge pudding all the way!

Q: Name the best thing about living/working in Dorset?

A: Beautiful countryside and sea all on our doorstep.

Q: If you were Prime Minister for the day what would be the first thing you do?

A: Extend the stamp duty holiday for another year.

Q: What’s your biggest frustration?

A: People that waffle.

Q:  Where’s your favourite holiday location?

A: Algarve, very fond memories of many family holidays.

Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

A: In the Algarve!
