Her childhood hero was Roald Dahl, she’d like to share a car with comedian Bill Bailey, chooses Mexico as her favourite holiday location and gets angry at impolite people and bad manners.

Danielle Boutcher, Marketing Director, The Wild Agency, takes the ‘hot seat’ for our popular 20 Questions.

Question: What is your favourite TV show?

Answer: ‘American Horror Story’ or ‘Game of Thrones’ – something that has you NEEDING to watch the next and the next and the next episode.

Q: Who would you like to share a car with?

A: Someone funny, like Bill Bailey.

Q: The best bit of my job is…?

A: All of it! We offer sustainability-led video marketing and work with fantastic clients who give back via the fantastic charities we work with.

Q: And the worst?

A: So much to do and not enough hours in the day.

Q: Who was your childhood hero?

A: Roald Dahl.  His books made me feel simply wonderful.

Q: What’s your favourite smell?

A: Other than my son’s newborn smell which I miss now he’s a toddler, I’d say the perfume ‘Intrusion’ by Oscar de la Renta.

Q: Where’s your favourite place in Dorset?

A: Westbourne – there’s enough food, quirkiness, goodies and sociable opportunities to fill a day.

Q: What advice would you give to anyone starting out on a career?

A: Be flexible and try out different areas across businesses. In a previous marketing job, I’ve had to ‘fill-in’ in retail, catering and ticket sales. It means you can sell all aspects of the business so much better if you’ve worked behind the scenes.

Q: What was your first record/CD?

A: I think it was a mix of Disney songs such as ‘The Bare Necessities’ and ‘Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo’ from the Disney film Cinderella, on vinyl.

Q: What gets you angry?

A: Impolite people and bad manners.

Q: Do you have a favourite piece of music?

A: ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen. It’s a bit silly and brings everyone together.

Q: What are the qualities you look for in a new employee?

A: If they can have a positive attitude, with fresh perspectives, but also know when to trust colleagues with differing opinions, that would be a great mix.

Q: What’s your favourite food or dish?

A: A roast dinner or a cheese board.

Q: Steamed sponge pudding and custard or a plate of melon?

A: Sponge pudding, as I cannot stand melon. It’s the amount of water content that makes me hate it. The irony is I’d rather eat an actual sponge.

Q: Name the best thing about living/working in Dorset?

A: The variety of landscapes – sea, beach, countryside and town – we’ve got it all.

Q: If you were Prime Minister for the day what would be the first thing you do?

A: Meet our new King for afternoon tea and see if I could make him laugh a bit!

Q: What’s your biggest frustration?

A: The lack of decent drive-through options for retail or healthy food when it’s too much of a faff to get a toddler out of a car. Plus, the lack of suitable parking spaces to get said toddler out of a car carefully. Should have added as a secondary task to do as Prime Minister.

Q:  Where’s your favourite holiday location?

A: Mexico – the snorkelling was amazing.

Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

A: Continuing to serve clients well and ensure a great work-life balance for our team.

Q: What would you like to be remembered for?

A: Being friendly and always trying to make people laugh.
