She’d like to share a car with Steven Bartlett from Dragons’ Den, chooses scallops at ‘The Jetty’ restaurant as her favourite food and gets frustrated at traffic lights, roadworks and the congestion around Christchurch on a weekly basis.

Alice Loney, Head of Marketing, Fireworx, takes the ‘hot seat’ for our popular 20 Questions.

Question: What is your favourite TV show?

Answer: ‘This is Us’.  The scriptwriting and cast are brilliant and it is the perfect mix of joy, humour and emotion.

Q: Who would you like to share a car with?

A: Steven Bartlett. His podcasts are so thought-provoking; I think he would be great company.

Q: The best bit of my job is…?

A: Building a rapport with clients and seeing a campaign or website come to fruition after weeks of hard work from the team.

Q: And the worst?

A: Admin.

Q: Who was your childhood hero?

A: ‘Ariel’ from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. I still think her hair is fabulous.

Q: What’s your favourite smell?

A: Dior – Eau Sauvage Cologne. My dad used to wear it and it reminds me of him.

Q: Where’s your favourite place in Dorset?

A: Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove for the sunrise (before the crowds appear).

Q: What advice would you give to anyone starting out on a career?

A: Be brave and apply for the jobs you think are outside your reach. Positivity, confidence and a ‘can do’ attitude go far. Be nice to people; you may meet them again and personal recommendations and contacts go a long way in climbing industries and opening doors.

Q: What was your first record/CD?

A: K-Ci & JoJo – ‘All My Life’. I suspect I was heartbroken over a boy.

Q: What gets you angry?

A: People who don’t indicate when driving, dishonesty, bullies and rudeness.

Q: Do you have a favourite piece of music?

A: My music taste is very varied.  I am a Jay-Z /hip hop fan, but equally enjoy anything from Morcheeba to Alanis Morissette.

Q: What are the qualities you look for in a new employee?

A: Likeability, positivity, ambition, self-awareness, motivation and a good sense of humour.

Q: What’s your favourite food or dish?

A: Scallops at ‘The Jetty’ restaurant.

Q: Steamed sponge pudding and custard or a plate of melon?

A: Can I say sticky toffee pudding? It wins every time! If not, it would have to be the steamed sponge.

Q: Name the best thing about living/working in Dorset?

A: Being so close to the beach and being able to go for beach walks before/after work. It’s the perfect stress relief

Q: If you were Prime Minister for the day what would be the first thing you do?

A: Apologise for being useless.

Q: What’s your biggest frustration?

A: Traffic lights, roadworks and the congestion around Christchurch on a weekly basis.

Q:  Where’s your favourite holiday location?

A: Mexico or Thailand.

Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

A: Successful in my career, living a full life of adventures with friends and family, and with a holiday home in Italy.

Q: What would you like to be remembered for?

A: Being a loyal friend, a good mum, someone who always tried to do the right thing and had a giggle on the way.
