Walker, the Bournemouth-based advertising agency, has seen a successful management buyout as it reaches its 30th year in business.
The agency, which has been ranked in the Top 20 agencies outside London by Campaign Magazine, was founded by Martin Walker in 1993, seeing remarkable growth since.
Following the MBO, Martin will remain on the board with the role of Founder, while Matt Clarke takes the role of Managing Director.
Martin said: “We’ve built a brilliant management team and agency here over the years and this transition is just the next logical step in the agency’s life, and very well deserved.”
Matt added: “Walker has played an important role in my life for many years now. So it fills me with real pride to be able to continue what Martin started – with a keen focus on both the culture within the agency and how we work together to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs.”
Alongside the change in ownership, Walker has announced the promotion of Zennen Thomas to Client Director, while Paula Barclay moves up to Operations Director.
In a press release, Walker said: “Both have been an integral part of the agency’s success in recent years, and these new roles will give them the opportunity to further impact client relationships, strategy development, and overall business growth.”
The pair will join the agency’s senior management team, alongside Steve Collins (Finance Director), Robin Upshon (Creative Director) and James Hickman (Strategy Director).
