Jo Clarke, Partner and Head of Risk Operations at Lester Aldridge, has been appointed President of the Bournemouth and District Law Society.
The prestigious role recognises Jo’s contributions to the legal profession, and sustained commitment to excellence.
Jo has been with Lester Aldridge for more than 23 years, joining initially as a paralegal in the Family team before qualifying as a legal executive and then later as a solicitor.
She remained in the Family team until 2020, when she took over the Compliance team, with her expertise, dedication and leadership skills supporting the firm’s growth and success.
As a Partner Jo has been responsible for mentoring and guiding many aspiring solicitors alongside her legal practices.
In her new role as BDLS President, Jo will be at the forefront of promoting the interests of legal professionals within the Bournemouth and District area.
She will work towards enhancing professional standards, providing continuing education opportunities, and fostering a sense of community among members.
Jo’s vision includes strengthening the Society’s engagement with the wider community and ensuring that the voice of local solicitors is heard on a national level.
Speaking about her appointment, Jo Clarke said: “I am honoured and excited to take on the role of President of the Bournemouth and District Law Society.
“I would like to thank Michael Newbold for his support as I take over the helm, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to support our members and uphold the highest standards of our profession.
