His favourite place in Dorset is Arne, he’d like to share a car with Pope Francis and, at the moment, chooses probably anything in ‘Les Misérables’ as his favourite piece of music “because we are seeing the show for the sixth time soon”.

Question: What is your favourite TV show?
Answer: Fawlty Towers.
Q: Who would you like to share a car with?
A: Pope Francis.
Q: The best bit of my job is…?
A: Helping clients overcome their legal problems.
Q: And the worst?
A: Admin and the endless to-do list!
Q: Who was your childhood hero?
A: Inspector Gadget.
Q: What’s your favourite smell?
A: Chocolate.
Q: Where’s your favourite place in Dorset?
A: Arne.
Q: What advice would you give to anyone starting out on a career?
A: Be yourself, no one else. Don’t choose your career to please others or for the money. Challenge passive-aggressive managers. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ (Gandhi).
Q: What was your first record/CD?
A: Iron Maiden, I think.
Q: What gets you angry?
A: Me getting angry.
Q: Do you have a favourite piece of music?
A: Endless ones! At the moment probably anything in ‘Les Misérables’ as we are seeing the show for the sixth time soon.
Q: What are the qualities you look for in a new employee?
A: Honesty and humility.
Q: What’s your favourite food or dish?
A: Pizza.
Q: Steamed sponge pudding and custard or a plate of melon?
A: Melon?! What? Steamed sponge and custard!
Q: Name the best thing about living/working in Dorset?
A: The sea, the countryside and being in Dorset.
Q: If you were Prime Minister for the day what would be the first thing you do?
A: Apologise to the world for the harm and dishonesty of my predecessors; acknowledge that I, too, might get it wrong, but commit to trying not to.
Q: What’s your biggest frustration?
A: Procrastination.
Q: Where’s your favourite holiday location?
A: You can’t beat a static caravan on a holiday park with cheesy evening entertainment!
Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
A: More relaxed, doing what fulfils me.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Trying repeatedly to do the right thing…
