Hurry to sign up your business or organisation for Bournemouth University’s popular jobs portal and recruitment service, MyCareerHub, and a programme of online careers fairs.

BU has made it free to join in a move to help both graduates and employers.

The university is now inviting organisations to join the upcoming BU Annual Careers Fair, on Tuesday October 20 and Wednesday October 21 and the BU Nursing, Health & Social Care Careers Fair on November 25.

The deadline to confirm your place  for the Annual Careers Fair is October 16.

It’s for engineering, law, business & finance, IT, creative industries (including film and animation), PR, advertising & marketing, sciences (including forensic and life sciences), and more.

More information and a booking form can be found here.

November 23 is the deadline to confirm your place for the Nursing, Health & Social Care Careers Fair.

This event is for the three branches of nursing (mental health, adult, children & young people), occupational therapy, midwifery, physiotherapy, sports therapy, social work, operating department practice, nutrition, health psychology, paramedic science, sociology, and psychology.

Information and a booking form can be found here.

Both events are aimed at recent graduates and attract employers looking to recruit professional/graduate-level roles starting immediately, or the following June.

BU is also looking to support the promotion of work placements (typically 15-30 weeks) and quality part-time opportunities.

BU’s online careers fairs are designed to allow organisations the freedom to define their own level of participation.

A business can communicate opportunities and engage with students and graduates in a way that suits its needs.

While roles can be added to the MyCareerHub jobs portal all year-round, the BU Online Careers Fairs allow organisations to connect with the right students in a more concentrated manner.

One business owner who attended a past event said: “I thought the organisation for the online jobs fair was amazing.

“We were one of the later companies to join, however everything ran smoothly.

“From our side, to be able to enquire about possible candidates, attend a job fair, and come away with applicants all within one week and for free is incredible.”

For more information on the students and graduates attending the fair, see BU’s Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses.
