Clipper Teas, the renowned ethical tea brand based in Beaminster, is marking 40 years of production in Dorset with a special edition pack for food service operators.
This commemorative pack, adorned with iconic Dorset landmarks such as Durdle Door and Portland Bill, celebrates the brand’s local roots while highlighting its global impact.
The new 250-count box, featuring plant-based, biodegradable, and unbleached teabags, is a nod to Clipper’s commitment to sustainability. The fully recyclable packaging underscores their dedication to eco-friendly practices, aligning with their status as a Fairtrade-certified and B Corp brand.
Adam Perry, Clipper Teas’ Head of Out of Home at Ecotone UK, said: “This has been an eagerly anticipated launch for the whole team and one we’re immensely proud of as a Dorset-born brand. Despite operating on a global scale, we choose to remain in the county where we were founded.
“This is something we’re incredibly passionate about as it allows us to continue boosting the local economy.
“Our message as a brand is to showcase what goes into making a ‘good’ cup of tea, our Fairtrade sourcing and B Corp certification being a true testament to this. And what better time to launch a blend that celebrates our heritage than on our 40th birthday.”
Founded in 1984, Clipper Teas has grown from its Beaminster base to become a leader in sustainable tea production, exporting to over 50 countries.
The brand’s commitment to ethical practices includes being the first to introduce a plastic-free, non-GM, plant-based, and unbleached heat-sealed teabag.
The Dorset Classic Everyday pack will be available at regional food service touchpoints, including hotels and offices, distributed through Clipper’s regional wholesale partners.
This launch not only celebrates the brand’s heritage but also offers local businesses a chance to stock a product that honours Dorset’s natural beauty.
In addition to the new pack, Clipper has recently invested £1 million in a new production line to further eliminate plastic packaging from its larger packs, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable practices.
