Social enterprise and charitable trust BH Live is backing this year’s Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run as the event’s official gym sponsor.

Open to all, the event is taking place on Sunday 24 March 2024 along Bournemouth’s seafront. BH Live Active fitness instructors will take centre stage and lead the all-important race warm-ups for each of the running events; a 1K kid’s fun run, 5K, 10K and half marathon.

Furthermore, the team will be stationed in the race village throughout the event to inspire and motivate race goers and their supporters. Goodies and giveaways including one day guest passes for local leisure centres will be up for grabs.

BH Live Active memberships will also be awarded as prizes for race winners.

In partnership withBCP Council, BH Live manages leisure centres across Bournemouth including Littledown, Stokewood and Pelhams. Other BH Live Active centres include Sir David English, Queen’s Park and Corfe Mullen.

On behalf of BH Live, Rob Cunningham, Associate Director of Leisure said: “Inspiring more people to be active for improved health and wellbeing is one of our charitable aims.

“Having a presence at this much-loved community event, and celebrating the benefits of physical activity is a great fit and lots of fun too.”

Councillor Millie Earl, Deputy Leader of BCP Council and Portfolio Holder for Connected Communities said: “The Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run is always a fun, fantastic Spring day out at the beach, with a race that suits everyone.

“Brilliant charities like Dorset Mind, the RNLI, Age UK, Lewis Manning Hospice Care and Helping Homeless Veteran’s UK all raise much needed cash and of course it is the perfect opportunity to get fit and have fun.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Vitality as the event’s headline sponsor, as well as BH Live as official gym sponsor, for their support in putting on this great event and promoting healthy living across Dorset.”
