DMB Tourism Awards make final call for entries before nominations deadline

Finalists celebrate at the 2023 DMB Tourism Awards.

The Destination Management Board (DMB) Tourism Awards have put out a final call for entries ahead of the nomination deadline.

Originally expected to close on Friday, 5th July, the organisers have allowed a small extension, deciding on a new deadline of Friday, 12th July at 11.59pm

The awards, which cover 19 separate categories, are open to businesses directly involved in tourism, making a contribution to the visitor economy with a significant proportion of business generated by people visiting from outside the local area.

Accolades are up for grabs in the following categories:

  • Large Hotel
  • Small Hotel
  • Self Catering
  • Takeaway Experience
  • Attraction of the Year 
  • Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Tourism
  • Contribution to BCP Tourism
  • Education
  • Night Life Experience
  • Eating Out Experience
  • Cafe/Tearoom
  • Team of the Year 
  • Restaurant of the Year
  • Industry Support 
  • Event of the Year
  • Business Engagement
  • Rising Star
  • Tourism Business of the Year
  • Best Customer Service of the Year

Applications should cover the operating period from July 2023 to July 2024. Minimum operating period is 12 months.

Finalists will be announced on the 12th September at The Captain’s Club in Christchurch, with a Gala Evening planned for the 8th November at the Hilton Hotel Bournemouth.
