Town Common News, a long-standing newsagent in Fairmile, Christchurch, has entered a new chapter.
Goadsby Commercial has announced the sale of the shop to Nirooshan Yogarajah, an experienced local retailer with a strong commitment to the community.
Nirooshan, who also operates a successful shop in Tuckton, shared his enthusiasm for the new venture: “We are thrilled to join this community and build on the store’s solid reputation.
“We’ve already introduced some improvements, including new refrigerated units, to enhance our customers’ shopping experience.
“Mark Nurse at Goadsby worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”
Mark, an Associate Director at Goadsby, who managed the sale, reflected on the process: “It’s been a pleasure to help with the sale of this busy store.
“The business sale included the shop, newspaper delivery rounds, and a spacious three-bedroom flat above.
“We’re confident that Nirooshan will bring his unique touch to Town Common News and wish him every success in his new venture.”
