A new general manager and operations manager have been appointed at Holiday Inn Bournemouth, with former GM Xavier Garrido jetting off for Spain to lead The Grand Luxor.
After four years as operations/deputy GM, Tim Seward now steps up as general manager of the Aimbridge EMEA-managed hotel, bringing a wealth of hospitality experience to the role.
Alongside his promotion comes a fresh face, Alexandru Vladulescu, who’s been appointed hotel operations manager.
Alex joins from St Giles House in Wimborne, where he served as hospitality manager.
Before that, he spent seven years at Bournemouth’s Green House Hotel, starting off as food and beverage supervisor before working his way up to front office manager.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the excellent team at Holiday Inn Bournemouth”, said Alex.
“I can’t wait to work with such an established team under the new leadership of Tim. He has a fantastic managerial style and has built up some great connections in the area.
“I’m pleased to be working with him as we take Holiday Inn Bournemouth forward into the future.”
Meanwhile, Sara Pereira will stay on as senior guest service manager.
She added: “I’m pleased to continue in my role. I look forward to working with Tim and Alex and developing further in my career under both Aimbridge and their leadership.”
This comes off the back of several award wins for the hotel in recent months, having won Silver at the Destination Management Board Tourism Awards for their sustainable and responsible approach.
They also took home the Gold award for Large Hotel of the Year at the 2023/2024 Dorset Tourism Awards this February as well as Bronze in Large Hotel of the Year at the South West Tourism Awards.
