Back in 2016, Erin Thomas Wong launched Life-Friendly Business in Bournemouth with an aim to ‘help female solopreneurs create success on their own terms’.
Eight years later, she’s earned her place on Small Business Britain’s ‘f:Entrepreneur #IAlso100’ campaign as one of the country’s most inspirational women in business.
Erin shares the list with women from all manner of industries, from AI to sustainable fashion.
The judges commended her work as an award-winning mentor and community leader, creating nurturing spaces for female entrepreneurs both on- and offline.
She also hosts The Life-Friendly Business Podcast, where she shares the challenges of juggling work with family life.
“I’m over the moon to be recognized in this impressive list of female founders”, said Erin.
“The #IAlso campaign is absolutely aligned with my values in helping women to define their own measures of success and to build a thriving business without sacrificing time with their family or their wellbeing.”
The campaign offers a range of events, training and networking opportunities to help female entrepreneurs grow their skills, capability, and confidence.
Michelle Ovens CBE, Founder of Small Business Britain, added: “Congratulations to Erin and each of the phenomenal women featured in this year’s #IAlso100.
“It’s so important that we call out the incredible contribution of women running businesses across the UK.
“As well as growing economic prosperity across the UK, they’re also having a tremendous, wider positive impact on local communities too.
“Despite all of the challenges of recent times, it’s fantastic to see female entrepreneurship continuing to grow and flourish in the UK, and we must do all we can to encourage and build this further.”
Erin is now getting ready for her annual Momentum Day at The Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth on 29th February.
Sponsored by TaxAssist Poole, the full-day event offers practical business training and inspiration to help women build and scale life-friendly businesses on their own terms.
Guest speakers this year include leadership coach Michaela Smith, ‘TikTokpreneur’ Michelle Haslam and wellbeing coach Sarah Scudamore.
LinkedIn specialist and YouTuber Louise Brogan will also be attending alongside Glenda Shawley, owner of Fabulous Networking in London.
