Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) is soon set to host its inaugural gala dinner at The Crown Hotel in Blandford Forum on Saturday 23rd March.
The evening will celebrate the life-saving work of the air ambulance and its crew as they look to raise vital funds for the charity.
Each year DSAA spends £10 million keeping the helicopter, cars and specialist crew operational for 19 hours a day, 365 days a year.
And last year proved to be its busiest on record, with 2,224 incidents to attend.
With support from Leonardo Helicopters and Lottery Fundraising Services, they’re now getting ready for their black-tie event.
Alana Sproston, Fundraising Events Officer for DSAA, said: “We wanted to celebrate our 24th year in style and what better way to do this, than with a gala dinner.
“We’re looking forward to a fantastic evening full of fun, whilst celebrating the incredible work of DSAA.
“We hope the evening will be a huge success and raise vital funds, enabling our crew to be there for patients today, tomorrow and in the future.”
The evening will feature a three-course dinner, a bar, live music, and a grand raffle and auction with plenty of prizes on offer.
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the air ambulance crew saving lives across the county.
Proceedings kick off at 7pm with carriages at 12pm. A limited number of tickets are available at £75 per person, while tables for eight people cost £550.
There are also sponsorship opportunities.
