Two new trustees are joining the Board of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
Both Dr Jackie Dominey and Emma Starmer are described by the charity as having a “wealth of talent”.

Jackie spent 26 years as a GP practice partner in Birmingham and a GP trainer from around 1996 until 2018.
From 2004 until 2018 Jackie was a hospice speciality doctor, which included teaching medical students and doctors at Marie Curie Hospice West Midlands.
She also worked for two years at John Taylor Hospice in Erdington and as a Macmillan GP Advisor Midlands/Central South West England and GP clinical lead for end-of-life care at Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Jackie moved to Dorset and became a salaried GP in Bournemouth and also completed an eight-month limited contract post at Weldmar Hospice in Dorchester, working on the inpatient unit and teaching GP trainees who spent three months on the unit.
She said: “Getting involved as a volunteer trustee at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is an opportunity to use my time, skills, energy and passion to make a real positive difference to people’s lives.
“I think that the work the hospice does is fantastic and vital.”
Emma has worked at Bournemouth-based solicitors Lester Aldridge for more than 25 years in a variety of HR and managerial roles, including Head of HR for a number of years.
She has experience across numerous areas of HR, including employee relations, policy preparation and implementation, preparing employment contracts and handbooks for clients, settlement agreement work and providing HR related training.
Emma said: “I am so impressed with the important work that Lewis-Manning, the Board of trustees, staff and volunteers have achieved for local people at the end of life across east Dorset and Purbeck.
“I am looking forward to being involved in the great plans for the future of this amazing charity.”
Clare Gallie, Chief Executive, pictured left, said: “We have been delighted with the response to our recruitment for two new trustees to join our Board.
“Having specifically identified an opportunity to bring additional expertise in clinical, medical and HR into our charity, we are delighted to welcome Jackie and Emma who both bring a wealth of talent to the organisation.
“Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is overjoyed to bring these two wonderful women on to its Board.
“They both come with so much knowledge and their incredible skillset will help guide the charity into the future, so that we can help even more people and continue providing extraordinary care in the community.”
