Mica Paris, known as the 'Queen of British Soul' who is one of the headline acts at Sandpolo 2023.

She’s known as the ‘Queen of British Soul’ while he was a pop icon famous for his days in the 80s group, Spandau Ballet.
And both are heading this way next summer.

Mica Paris and Martin Kemp have been announced as the headline artists for Sandpolo 2023.
The popular event takes place at Sandbanks on July 7 and 8.
Friday’s Boogie on the Beach will feature Mica Paris, in concert with her full band and fresh from her European Tour with Simply Red.
And Saturday’s Weekend Closing Party stars Martin Kemp, who brings his ever-popular DJ set to the shores of Sandbanks for the first time.

Johnny Wheeler, Sandpolo Founder, pictured left, said: “The team are proud to be entering year 16 of Sandpolo.
“Wow, it seems like yesterday that we were planning our first event at Sandbanks back in 2008.
“Of course, it’s not just about the weekend’s sport – Sandpolo brings fashion, food and entertainment together.”

Joshua Simons, of Tribeca Events, pictured right, added: “Sandpolo 2023 is set to be the best Sandpolo yet.
“As such we have been working hard to secure high-profile artists to perform across the weekend at Sandbanks.
“Mica Paris, one of the UK’s most respected soul stars, brings her full band to headline the popular Soul, Motown and Disco party, Boogie on the Beach.
“Martin Kemp, a bonafide pop icon, features at the closing party on Sandpolo Saturday.
“A host of other artists are still to be announced, and early bird tickets are already running low.
“We very much look forward to seeing everyone back on the beach on the 7th/8th July.”
Mica Paris will be performing hits including ’My One Temptation’, ‘Breathe Life Into Me’ and ‘Where Is The Love?’.
She made an immediate impact on the UK music scene in 1988 when she released her debut, the platinum-selling ‘So Good’ album.
This was followed with more worldwide hit albums and singles including ‘Black Angel’, ‘Stay’ and ‘Carefree’.
The soul star has collaborated with many respected artists, such as Prince and Jools Holland,
She is considered to be one of the UK’s most respected female singers with terrific range, power and sheer soulfulness of her voice.

Martin Kemp was the bassist in Spandau Ballet which sold 25 million albums worldwide.
He later played the part of EastEnders villain Steve Owen in the BBC soap opera.
Martin heads to Sandbanks to DJ a high-energy set of party classics, alongside a host of other acts.
