Lashings World XI and Hummel partner for new season playing kit

Lashings World XI, the world-renowned cricket club which is based in Bournemouth, has welcomed sportswear brand Hummel UK as its official kit partner.

The new colourful playing shirts have already been worn by cricket heavyweights Sir Gordon Greenidge, John Emburey, Owais Shah, Phil Mustard, England right-arm fast bowler Jofra Archer and England disability cricket international (also former Love Island star) Hugo Hammond.

Scott Charlton, Director of Lashings World XI, said: “We are beyond thrilled with our new playing kit.

“They reflect our excitement and individuality perfectly and we can’t wait to show them off at a cricket club near you very soon.”

Jonathan Jones, Head of Marketing, Hummel UK, said: “Hummel UK is delighted to be appointed the official kit supplier to the cricket institution that is Lashings World XI.

“Hummel’s mission is to ‘Change the World through Sport’ and this moving into the world of cricket with such a respected partner is another giant leap towards that goal.”

Lashings World XI business was acquired as a brand by Scott and Dave Fitzgerald, pictured with Harry Redknapp, in 2018.

It has been playing cricket, hosting legends, engaging audiences, building branding and providing entertainment across the globe for more than 30 years.

This year’s nominated charity is The Kidney Fund.

BBX announces new franchisee for Bournemouth and Dorset

Business Bank Exchange (BBX), the global organisation that specialises in turning unsold goods and services into an electronic currency for businesses to use, has announced its newest franchisee.

Russell Cort, pictured left, takes over the Bournemouth and Dorset franchise, serving customers across the South West and Southern Hampshire as well as Wiltshire and Salisbury districts.

Following a successful career in the retail motor industry, Russell was approached by BBX three years ago to join its team of account managers.

He was later promoted to Director of the Bournemouth-based national head office team.

Russell said: “I’m really looking forward to this exciting next chapter.

“I’ve formed my own company called Wycombe Trading Limited and we’re now operating the franchise for Dorset and Bournemouth.

“It spans from Dorchester right the way over to Southampton and into Portsmouth.

“On a caretaking side, we also look after Wiltshire up to and including Salisbury.”

John Attridge, pictured right, CEO of BBX, said: “We’re thrilled to have Russell on board as a franchisee.

“He knows the business inside out and, most importantly, especially in times like these, he knows how BBX can help and support businesses with cashflow issues.

“That’s what made Russell such a brilliant Account Manager and Director, and that’s what will make him a brilliant franchisee too.”
