Kindness at the heart of charity yoga and wellness Christmas fair

Yoga and crafts will be coming together tomorrow, Saturday December 18.

Yoga teacher Ali Morton is staging a Charity Yoga & Wellness Christmas Fair at Evolve Members in Parr Street, Ashley Cross, Poole.

At its heart will be ‘spreading kindness this Christmas’.

Money raised will go to the Community Yoga Collective and donations can be made to Poole Food Bank.

Ali, pictured, said: “Christmas can be an overwhelming time where we can get tied up in spending, going to events and all that goes with it.

“I know only too well the feeling of being overwhelmed and how stress affects the body.

“In the middle of a stressful career, and aged 24, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a progressive auto-immune disease.

“With a lack of vitamin D at this time of year plus cognitive difficulties, I know how tricky it can be.

“Organising this event has not been easy but what a great way to spread kindness and the word of wellness and yoga.”

Ali said she had done low-key fundraising over the years for charities such as the MS Trust to increase awareness of the disease.

The Charity Yoga & Wellness Christmas Fair is Ali’s biggest event to date.

It will focus on kindness, gratitude, community and love.

Ali said: “I will be bringing together local teachers, healers and gift makers for a day full of festive joy – a reminder at this time of year to keep your cup full whilst filling others.

“This is a chance to meet new people, buy last-minute gifts, spoil yourself to wellness classes or treatments and enjoy yummy fresh homemade food and drinks.”

The day kicks off with morning yoga classes with Ali Morton Yoga and a sound bath with Iiona of Conscious Yoga.

Both are fully booked.

The Christmas Craft Fair is open for visitors from 12pm-4pm.

A raffle in the afternoon includes prizes kindly donated by Miiko Nourishment, Running Free, Saltwater Sauna and others.

Entry to the fair is just £1 and an optional food bank donation.

The Wild Agency makes first hire and launches new package

An ‘environmentally conscious’ marketing and PR company has made its first hire.

Verwood-based The Wild Agency, which launched in May, specialises in video and animation-led campaigns.

It’s appointed a Video Producer and says it will be offering bitesized video-centric packages to businesses starting from £250 a month for its Discovery Package.

Danielle Boutcher, Marketing Director, pictured left, said: “During lockdown there was a noticeable market gap in terms of finding PR firms that were environmentally concious.

“The Wild Agency was established with this environmental ethos becoming our main unique selling point.

“It made absolute sense to utilise the skills of our well-established, award-winning sister company Grizzly Productions to help us deliver impactful video-centred marketing.

“To spearhead this we have hired Bradley Ward (pictured right) as Video Producer and are really excited to showcase what Bradley can offer over the coming months.”

Mike Coggan, Managing Director of the Wild Agency, said 30 per cent of profits will be donated to environmental causes and the agency’s skillset and equipment are all in-house.

As well as offering marketing strategies, PR opportunities, video, animation and event management it also provided social media management, he added.
