Bournemouth University’s Dr. Sue Baron has been appointed to the board as a new Trustee at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
Dr Baron is is the Principal Academic in Nursing and Programme Lead for MSc Adult Nursing and a Unit Lead Advanced Therapeutic Communication & Interpersonal Skills in the Department of Nursing Science in the University’s Faculty of Health and Social Science.
Hospice CEO Clare Gallie advised, “We are delighted to welcome Dr Sue Baron on to our Board of Trustees.
“She will be a huge asset to our team and brings an incredible amount of experience and knowledge to the role, which will be invaluable to the hospice.
“In her role at Bournemouth University, Sue has already worked with our hospice over the last 3 years and has been pivotal in the success of our Bournemouth University Nursing students’ scholarships scheme in palliative and end-of-life care.
Commenting on her new role, Sue said: “I feel very honoured to have been unanimously appointed as a Trustee for Lewis Manning Hospice Care.
“Thank you to everyone for their support.
“It was a pleasure to meet the Trustees and Lewis-Manning Executives at this month’s Board meeting and I am looking forward to working more closely with all the team moving forward.
“I will, of course, also be continuing to support and promote the wonderful work of Lewis Manning Hospice Care through my role and work at Bournemouth University.”
