Exceptional BU students have been recognised for their outstanding commitment to the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU).
The first-ever SUBU Awards ceremony celebrated students who’ve made the biggest impact within the Students’ Union, going the extra mile to achieve something exceptional alongside their studies.
Ten awards were presented on the night, honouring a whole host of achievements.
They included students who’ve implemented sustainable changes at BU as well as those who’ve devoted their time to volunteer and help give back to the local community.
The awards were held at Key West on Bournemouth Pier.
Naomie Lebe, SUBU’s President, pictured left, said: “At SUBU, we recognise that going to university isn’t just about getting top marks; it’s also about developing skills and experiencing a range of unforgettable opportunities.
“Our students are such a key part of our work here at SUBU.
“As a student-led organisation, their involvement helps to ensure that all students at BU have the best university experience possible.
“We saw so many high-quality entries for the SUBU Awards, and we couldn’t help but be impressed by the excellence shown from our students.
“It’s been a very strange time for students over the last two years, which makes their accomplishments even more impressive.
“A huge congratulations goes to all of our winners; we’re incredibly proud of their outstanding achievements.”
