Save yourself the hassle of wrapping Christmas presents by letting a team of expert volunteers do it for you.

Dorset’s disability charity is offering a Christmas gift wrapping service at Poole’s Dolphin Centre in the days running up to the big day.

The gift wrappers will be on hand from Thursday, December 21 until Christmas Eve.

They’ll wrap your presents in return for a donation to the charity which supports children and adults with physical and learning disabilities across Dorset.

The volunteers will be based at Gather, opposite Beales in the Dolphin Centre, on:

  • Thursday December 21: 10am-8pm
  • Friday December 22: 10am-4pm
  • Saturday December 23: 10am-3pm
  • Sunday December 24: 12-3pm

Diverse Abilities are also planning a Shooting Day at Purbeck Shooting School near Wareham.

Teams are set to compete on Sunday, January 28, 2024, with help from a team of experts.

Mariana SwainMariana Swain, Events Executive at Diverse Abilities, said: “This is a great team building activity to get involved in right at the beginning of the year.

“Even if you’ve never been shooting before, there are a team of experts on hand throughout the day to help and guide you.

“You might even discover a hidden talent!”

Teams of four can enter for £380.

They’ll compete over six stands to find out who takes home the trophy.

There is a shotgun start at 10am with elevenses, mulled cider and cake, as well as lunch, provided.
