Morebus has thrown its support behind University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity.

The local bus operator has named the charity as its official good cause for 2024 and 2025.
It will spend the next two years raising funds and awareness to help the charity enhance the treatment and care of patients accessing NHS services at the Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch hospitals.
Richard Wade, Morebus General Manager, said: “University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity is a crucial local resource, helping to pay for additional equipment, research and innovations – as well as finishing touches and ‘extras’ that complement the existing high-quality care for patients across the three towns.
“It provides financial support to areas of the hospitals’ services that lie beyond the scope of NHS funding – and this is of enormous benefit to thousands of people living across our area.
“Our corporate charity is voted for by the Morebus team.
“Many of my colleagues have benefited directly from the support University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity provides, so we are delighted to be backing this very worthy cause and raising as much money as possible over the coming years.”
Morebus has a busy calendar of fundraising planned and is also promoting the charity on-board and on the rear of a bus.
Hayley Harris, Corporate Fundraiser, University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity, said: “Our new partnership with Morebus is so exciting because there are so many opportunities to make a real difference together for everybody across Dorset and the surrounding areas.
“Our hospitals and local bus service strive to achieve the same goal – to provide the best possible service for our community.
“On behalf of the charity, we are looking forward to funding further items that are above and beyond NHS funds and doing even more for our patients with the support of Morebus.”
