Laura Adams has joined Lewis-Manning Hospice Care in Bournemouth as the new Director of Clinical Services.

Laura qualified from Birmingham University with a diploma in adult nursing.

She began her career in HM Forces as a nursing staff member. Since leaving the Forces in 2009, she has held multiple roles across both primary and secondary care sectors.

Laura’s extensive experience spans the NHS, private, and charity sectors. Most recently, she specialised in palliative care at Mountbatten Hospice in Hampshire.

Laura said: “I’m really looking forward to bringing my experience of working in palliative care.

“It’s very refreshing and enjoyable to see the very proactive attitude and care strategy that Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has, allowing the nursing staff the time and ability to spend quality time with patients, enabling them to see their patients as individuals and beyond their illness and helping them to live well with a terminal illness.”

Clare Gallie, CEO, added: “We are delighted to welcome Laura on board, she will be a real asset to the team. As a hospice, we have ambitious plans to continue to grow our services and bring them further into the heart of the communities we serve, with our ‘closer to home’ strategy.”
