Remember the name because this young racing driver is beginning to go places.
The talented 16-year-old took the first of what’s predicted to be many steps onto the podium by finishing third in his Ginetta Junior Championship racing debut.
It followed a stunning final race in the first round at Oulton Park, Cheshire, which saw him add the podium finish to earlier fourth and sixth positions.
In the thrilling final race at Oulton Park, the talented driver not only displayed consistency with earlier impressive fourth and sixth positions but also secured a coveted spot on the podium. This remarkable achievement reflects not only natural talent but also a dedication to honing racecraft.
His success puts him in a strong position in the driver’s championship.
Reza, from Poole, has his sights set on reaching the heights of Formula 1.
It follows a commanding victory at last year’s English Junior Rotax Karting Championships where he was crowned champion.
The Canford School sports scholar has now launched his bid for the Ginetta Junior Championship.
He’s racing under the banner of multi-championship winning team, R Racing.
Previous Ginetta Junior Championship winners include F1 star Lando Norris and BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) champion Tom Ingram.
Reza is backed by a number of local businesses including Wyatt Homes, Charles Trent Ltd (pictured), Anders Roberts Cheer (ARC) Architecture, LuxuryCare, Abbey Estates and DWP Housing Partnership among others.
All believe Reza has got what it takes for the title win and progressing up the ranks of British Motorsport.
His performance and natural racing instinct has garnered the attention of a number of high profile teams.
He’s tipped as a rising star for the likes of Formula 4 and even Formula 1.
Reza said: “The competition this season is extremely tough, with everyone battling it out in such a short window.
“You are fighting for tenths of a second to the nearest car, and there’s no margin for error.
“You have to give it everything each and every time you head out on the track.”
As a relative latecomer to racing, Reza began karting at 13 years old and immediately impressed Poole-based team BKC Racing.
He later went on to win the English Karting Championship with the team.
Moving into his first season of car racing was a big step, but following a successful period of testing for two of the top teams in the series, he was offered a drive with both and signed up to R Racing.
Following the first round at Oulton Park, the next will be on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on May 6 and 7.
Reza’s racing endeavours can be followed on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram where he shares regular updates and behind the scenes content.
