Poole Quay Boat Haven and the Port of Poole Marina have sailed to victory once again, securing the Coastal Marina of the Year Award (Under 250 Berths) at the Southampton Boat Show 2024.
This prestigious honour, awarded by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), is based on votes from berth holders and visitors, making it a true reflection of the marinas’ dedication to customer satisfaction.
This win marks the fifth time Poole Quay Boat Haven has claimed the title, adding to five runner-up finishes since 2014. The marina is the only one across all categories to achieve such consistent recognition.
Located in the heart of Poole, the marina is well-known for its high-quality services, stunning views, and vibrant atmosphere. It also offers easy access to Poole Harbour, the largest natural harbour in Europe, making it a top destination for local and international boaters alike.
Captain Brian Murphy, CEO of Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC), praised the team’s efforts: “This award means so much to us, as it reflects the dedication of everyone involved.
“We always strive to create a welcoming environment for our berth holders and visitors. Winning for the fifth time reinforces our commitment to being a leading coastal marina.”
Kerrie Gray, PHC’s Marina Manager, echoed his thoughts: “We’re absolutely thrilled. It’s a testament to the hard work of our team, who always go above and beyond. We are extremely grateful to those who voted for us and to our supportive community.”
The award highlights Poole Quay Boat Haven and the Port of Poole Marina as top locations for boating enthusiasts. Offering access to the beautiful Dorset coastline and the wider English Channel, they continue to draw attention from across the UK and beyond.
