Composite solutions firm Norco recently hosted Rear Admiral Donald Doull CBE, director of capability for the Royal Navy, at the firm’s Poole facilities.
During the visit, the team showed off their capabilities in manufacturing the complex composite structures that are crucial for various applications in the defence sector.
Rear Admiral Doull also thanked staff for their commitment and contribution to national defence.
“In today’s visit, we’re reminded of the critical role that innovation and excellence in manufacturing play in supporting the UK’s security”, he said.
“Norco’s dedication to advancing composite solutions not only contributes to our nation’s defence capabilities, but also reinforces our position on the global stage as leaders in technological and engineering competence.
“It’s partnerships like these that ensure our continued security and technological edge.”
Norco has long maintained a close relationship with the UK’s defence sector.
They’re now approaching 40 years in business, with 30 of those helmed by long-standing MD Mark Northey.
It’s been a ‘remarkable journey’, he added.
“Having Rear Admiral Doull visit our facilities really puts into perspective the vast array of products we’ve developed and our significant contributions to national defence.
“This visit underscores the dedication and hard work of our team, highlighting our commitment to innovation and excellence in composite manufacturing.”
