A luxury hotel brand is expanding its Bournemouth facilities, thanks to a multi-million-pound package from HSBC UK.

The NICI, a five-star resort on the West Cliff in Bournemouth, offers 91 rooms, a luxury spa, and multiple dining options.

The HSBC UK funding will support further investment in the hotel’s newly opened Old Harry Rocks Bar & Restaurant, creating 50 jobs, and a new poolside children’s activity centre.

This funding also allows The NICI to explore opportunities for new sites across the UK.

Chris Liddiard, Relationship Director at HSBC UK Real Estate Finance Hotels, said: “We’re delighted to support the growth of such an exciting hotel brand.

“Where businesses have ambitions to grow, we have the expertise to provide bespoke funding solutions that support management plans and help to make them reality.”

The NICI opened to wide acclaim in 2022 and has received significant recognition, featuring in The Times Top 100 UK Hotels for two consecutive years.

The hotel also won “Best New Hotel” at the 2023 Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence and “Best Interior Hotel Renovation” at the 2023 Boutique Hotelier Awards.
