Thousands of fans and gamers will be heading to Bournemouth next month for the highly anticipated return of the Beachhead Tabletop Gaming Show.

The annual event, now in its eighth year, is held at the Bournemouth International Centre and is a celebration of all things tabletop gaming and pop culture.

Aimed at a wide audience, from the casual gamer to a seasoned tabletop general, it offers a wide range of activities over the two-day show on Saturday February 10 and Sunday February 11.

They include top tier wargames, card games, board games, roleplay sessions, miniatures games, free participation games, demonstration games, tournaments, traders, cosplay, seminars and more.

Event organisers Entoyment Wargaming & Hobby Centre says this year’s Beachhead will be bigger than ever with more vendors and tournaments.

There will also be a new dedicated Card Game Zone to learn and play some of the world’s biggest games such as Disney’s Lorcana, Pokémon and Magic: the Gathering.

Other attractions include a chance to meet on-screen heroes in the Star Wars Zone, try brand new games from top indie talent and globally recognised publishers, enjoy military history seminars and regroup with friends over lunch to look over each other’s hauls from the stalls and vendors.

Beachhead’s tabletop wargaming tournaments have fast become a staple part of the global circuit and see hundreds of players and top teams travelling overseas to attend.

With many of this year’s tournaments already sold out, competitors are being urged to get their tickets as soon as possible.

Pete Valinski, Entoyment and Beachhead owner and organiser, said: “We’re excited to return to the BIC and offer more than we ever have before.

“I love being able to bring something like this to the tabletop gaming community and offer a chance to new gamers to see how amazing this hobby is.”
