Celebrate rising stars in your team by entering apprenticeship awards
Do you have a rising star in your team who is also an apprentice?
Then celebrate their success by entering the Dorset Apprenticeship Awards.
The 2023 awards have now opened for entries, marking National Apprenticeship Week from February 6 to 12.
Dorset Chamber has joined forces with the Dorset and Somerset Training Provider Network for the awards with sponsorship from manufacturing firm Superior Seals.
Honours in the second annual competition will be presented in four categories at an awards ceremony with the Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, Angus Campbell, in May.

The awards are free to enter with entries invited from apprentices and their employers across the private, public and charitable sectors.
Ian Girling, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber, said: “These awards will celebrate the hugely important contribution that apprentices make to business in Dorset.
“They also aim to recognise the personal achievements of apprentices and the impact of the apprenticeship programme on lives.
“Apprentices are the future of our business community.”
Entrants must be currently undertaking an apprenticeship programme, or have completed a programme within the last twelve months.
Entries close on March 17.

Each finalist, along with three guests, will be invited to an awards celebration lunch on May 16.
Last year’s winners included Intermediate Apprentice of the Year Ellie Edmonds of ABP Yetminster; Advanced Apprentice of the Year Cameron Hearn of Frettens Solicitors and Higher and Degree Apprentice of the Year Rebecca Buck of Dorset Council.

Latest Goadsby deals at Churchill Business Park and Charity Farm
Goadsby and LSH have agreed/sold eight new industrial/warehouse units off plan at Churchill Business Park off Magna Road in Poole.
Phase 1 will comprise 27 units ranging from 1,501 to 2,256 sq ft with prices ranging from £325,000 to £470,000 plus VAT.
Rentals range from £18,750 to £26,500 per annum exclusive.
The steel frame should be erected this month and the units are expected to be ready for occupation towards the end of the year.

In a separate transaction, Goadsby has agreed a ten year deal to let Unit A1 Charity Farm in Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster, to Veincentre Ltd.
The building extends to approximately 1,175 sq ft and is part of a development of four modern self-contained offices fronting the Dorchester Road.
Unit A1 comprises a ground and first floor with a WC, kitchenette, carpeted and air conditioning units.
