Sandpolo has announced a partnership with Moët Hennessy for this year’s 15th anniversary event at Sandbanks.
Now the largest beach polo event in the world, the annual gathering has become a firm feature of life on the peninsular as well as one of the key dates on the South Coast’s social calendar.
As part of the partnership, Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits division of LVMH, will showcase three of its famous brands across the weekend – Moët & Chandon, Chandon Garden Spritz, and Whispering Angel Rosé.
Johnny Wheeler, Director of Sandpolo Ltd, pictured left, said: “Sandpolo is a luxury lifestyle event, located on the UK’s most sought-after beach.
“We’re proud to attract global brand partners that meet both the expectations of our guests, and Sandpolo’s positioning in the market.
“It’s an exciting time for Sandpolo, and we’re thrilled Moët Hennessy are bringing not one, but three of their fabulous brands to Sandbanks this year.”
Steve Small, Head of Sponsorships & Partnerships, Moët Hennessey, said: “We could not think of a better event to showcase our new ready-to-drink spritz, Chandon Garden Spritz, which harnesses the finest ingredients; made of exceptional sparkling wine and a natural orange peel bitter liqueur, alongside sampling the delights of Moët & Chandon and our globally renowned rosé, Whispering Angel.
“We are confident that, whilst taking in the sporting action of the Whispering Angel team defending their title amongst the idyllic scenery, guests will enjoy being part of what is set to be a record-breaking attendance of socialites from around the UK and abroad.”
The first British Beach Polo Championships – better known as Sandpolo – were staged in 2008.
This year’s Sandpolo is held on Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9.
Following the day’s sporting action, the energy continues into the evening for the after-parties, featuring entertainment, from 7pm to 1am.
The Friday evening welcomes soul, Motown and disco event, Boogie on the Beach, starring The Real Thing alongside Craig Charles’ Funk & Soul Club.
Saturday evening’s Sandpolo weekend closing party is headlined by Ibiza Classics Orchestra, supported by Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B OBE.
General admission tickets cost from £35.
